AEF Educational Scholarship
Are you interested in pursuing an equine-related post secondary education? The AEF offers $750.00 Scholarships to active members who exemplify the objectives, vision and mission of the AEF. To apply for the AEF Educational Scholarship, please view the AEF Scholarship and Information Package. Application deadline is the last Friday in April each year, applicants will be notified by August 1 of each year.
With thanks to additional financial support from Capri Insurance, the AEF has been pleased to be able to offer an increased number of scholarships to AEF members annually.

Charlene Baker Scholarship
In recognition of Charlene's work and dedication to the Equine Canada Western Rider and Equine Canada Western Coaching programs in Alberta, the AEF provides a $500.00 scholarship awarded annually to the Western Rider who has achieved the highest average score of the level 4 test in the Western Rider Development Program.
English Rider Scholarship
This $500.00 annual award is granted to the English Rider who has achieved the highest average score of the level 8 test in the English Rider Development Program.
The scholarship committee and the board of directors are pleased to announce the 2011 scholarship recipients.
This year, 19 students applied with seven receiving scholarships. Four scholarships were $1000, thanks to the generous financial contribution from Capri, which increased the AEF scholarship amount from $750.
All of the applicants were young women and all applicants are career-bound in the horse industry. The committee encourages men and women of all ages who wish to start or continue a career in the horse industry. If you are committed to excellence in education and apply to an accredited college or university in an equine or equine-related course of study, then the AEF encourages you to apply.
The committee and board congratulate these students for their commitment to Alberta's equine world. We look forward to their success and involvement and their continued passion for the horse.
